HomeMy WebLinkAbout4-24-2003-10.08 - Resolution - 04/24/2003A RESOLUTION OF THE QTY COUNCIL OF THE QTY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE QTY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO SIGN A STANDARD UTILITY AGREEMENT, UTILITY JOINT USE AGREEMENT, STATEMENT COVERING CONTRACT WORK AND AN AFIDAVIT, ALL REQUIRED BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO OBTAIN STATE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE RELOCATION OF A QTY OWNED 24" WATER LINE TO FACILITATE THE CONSTRUCTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 40 BETWEEN FM 2154 AND STATE HIGHWAY 6. WHEREAS, the State of Texas, acting by and through the Texas Department of Transportation (hereinafter referred to as "TxDOT "), proposes to make certain highway improvements generally known as the construction of State Highway 40 between FM 2154 and State Highway 6; and WHEREAS, the proposed highway improvements will necessitate the relocation of a 24 inch water line owned by the City and used in its operation of its water system; and WHEREAS, TxDOT, pursuant to TEXAS ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, Title 43, Chapter 21, Subchapter B, may reimburse to the City of College Station the cost for relocation of utility facilities on a state highway system in accordance with a written agreement between the State and the City; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE QTY COUNCIL OF THE QTY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: ADOPTED this 24` day of April, A.D. 2003.
