HomeMy WebLinkAbout4-10-2003-10.8 - Resolution - 04/10/2003A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BRAZOS COUNTY, STATE OF TEXAS, APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE MAY 3, 2003 GENERAL CITY COUNCIL AND SCHOOL BOARD OF TRUSTEES ELECTION, SETTING THE RATE OF PAY FOR OFFICIALS AND THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CLERKS FOR EACH POLLING PLACE. WHEREAS, on February 13, 2003, the City Council of the City of College Station ordered a general election for the purposes of electing Council Members Places 1, 3, and 5 and designating the polling places for this election; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas: PART 1: That the following registered voters of Brazos County and College Station, Texas, shall be and are hereby appointed to serve in said elections: Citv /School Polline Place No. 2 (consisting of County Voting Precincts No. 2A, 82) at Wellborn Community Center, 4119 Greens Prairie Road; Presiding Judge: Alternate Judge: Citv /School Polline Place No. 8 (consisting of County Voting Precincts No. 8) at South Knoll Elementary School, 1220 Boswell; Presiding Judge: Alternate Judge: RESOLUTION NO. 4 -10- 2003 -10.8 Mitch Broaddus Verda Beasley Karen Tohkubbi Helen Cluck Citv /School Polline Place No. 9 (consisting of County Voting Precinct No. 9) at College Station Conference Center, 1300 George Bush Drive; Presiding Judge: Alternate Judge: A.J. The ballots shall be tabulated and returned to the office of the City Secretary for the required retention period. The following persons are hereby authorized and appointed as persons employed and designated to handle the ballots, operate the tabulating equipment, and count the ballots. Presiding Judge /Counting Station Manager: Celia Goode - Haddock Tabulation Supervisor: Tracy Price Tabulation Assistant: Tim Clark Clerks: To be appointed by the Presiding Judge PART 4: That, in accordance with Section 32.091 of the Texas Election Code, the judges and clerks shall be paid $8.00 per hour and the presiding judge shall receive an additional $25.00 for delivery of returns to Central Counting Station. There shall be a minimum of three and no more than four officials at each polling place. PART 5: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
