A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS,
APPROVING AN OPTIONAL RELOCATION PROGRAM REHOUSING AGREEMENT FOR
HOMEOWNERS AND AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT FOR THE DEMOLITION AND
RECONSTRUCTION OF A DILAPIDATED SINGLE FAMILY STRUCTURE AND AUTHORIZING THE
EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of College Statmn, Texas, provides financial assistance pursuant to the C~ty's Community
Development Optional Relocation Program to assist c~tizens ~n obtaining adequate, decent, safe, and sanitary
housing, and Ms Cheryl L Boone is a quahfied applicant for this program,
WHEREAS, the Cay of College Station, Texas, sohcited b~ds (Bid #04-75) for the demolmon and new construction
of the single-family residence located at 822 Avenue "B", College Station, Texas on behalfofCheryl L Boone and
WHEREAS, the selection of Orion Construction ~s being recommended as the lowest responsible b~dder for the
demolition and construet~on services related to 822 Avenue "B', College Station, Texas, now. therefore.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counctl of the C~ty of College Station, Texas
PART I
That the City Council hereby approves the Optional Relocation Program Rehousing
Agreement for Homeowners with Cheryl L Boone. and authorizes the expenditure of $3.500
for thc demoht~on of the existing structure and $61.194 for the labor and materials reqmred
for thc ~mprovements related to the Optional Relocation Project of 822 Avenue
PART 2 That the C~ty Council hereby finds that Orion Conhtrucnon ~s the lowest responsible b~dder
PA RT 3
That the C,) Councd hereby awards the contract to Orion Construetion. a sole proprietor. ~n
the amount ot $64.694
PART 4
That the funding for th~s ProJect shall be as budgeted from the C~ty of College Stalson's
Community Development Budget. Optional Relocation Program Fund, in the amount of
$64.604
