Assistant Cay Secretary Casares. Finance Director Kersten Mayor Silvia called the meeting to order at 3 04 p m. Budl!:et Worksbop Al!:enda Item No.1 - Presentation. discussiop. and possible actiop OP tbe FY 2004-2005 Prooosed Budl!:et. Finance and Strategic Planning Director Jeff Kersten oUlhned the various funds to be discussed. These include the general debt service fund, capital projects, and the enterpnse fund Mr Kersten noted that the debltax rate was 27 32 cents per $100 valuation and Ihe revised debt ta'( rale was 26.98 cents per $100 valuation The debt service fund does provide capacity for authOrized and approved capital projects. Additionally, there are some capacities for future projects Mr. Kersten noted that that the wastewater fund for residential and commercial usages are projected to increase by 3% in FY 2005 Also. the sanitation fund is projected to increase by 5% or 60 cents per month for residenlial customers due to growth in FY 2005-2009 No action was taken The next budget workshop was scheduled for August 31. 2004 Budl!:et Worksboo Al!:enda Item No.2 - Presentation. discussion. and possible action on tbe FY 2004-2005 ad valorem tax rate. Mayor Silvia announced that this item was postponed until the August 26. 2004 City Council meetmg. She highlighted some of the areas . Health and Wellness Events . On-line enrollment . Stop Loss Insurance . Life Insurance/Long Term Disabihty (L TD) . Health Chmc Mr Kersten reviewed the following decision points: . Tax Rate Options . Ullhly Rales . Outside Agency Funding No aCllon was taken.
