Mayor Silvia called the meeting to order at 3 04 p m.

FY 2004-2005 Prooosed Budl!:et.
Finance and Strategic Planning Director Jeff Kersten oUlhned the various funds to be discussed.
These include the general debt service fund, capital projects, and the enterpnse fund Mr
Kersten noted that the debltax rate was 27 32 cents per $100 valuation and Ihe revised debt ta'(
rale was 26.98 cents per $100 valuation The debt service fund does provide capacity for
authOrized and approved capital projects. Additionally, there are some capacities for future
projects
Mr. Kersten noted that that the wastewater fund for residential and commercial usages are
projected to increase by 3% in FY 2005 Also. the sanitation fund is projected to increase by 5%
or 60 cents per month for residenlial customers due to growth in FY 2005-2009
No action was taken The next budget workshop was scheduled for August 31. 2004

FY 2004-2005 ad valorem tax rate.
Mayor Silvia announced that this item was postponed until the August 26. 2004 City Council
meetmg.

Ms. O'Connell pointed out she is working with other local enlities on future joint health
proposals that would potentially save in health costs to employees and the City. She highlighted
some of the areas

Mr Kersten reviewed the following decision points:

. Outside Agency Funding
