MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
October 28, 1943
Meeting held at 8 PM at the home of L. D. Smith in College Hills.
Members present: Mayor E. Langford, Councilman J. A. Orr, C. W.
Crawford, E. E. Brown, M. T. Harrington; Business Manager L. D.
Smith, J. E. Breland, visitor.
J. E. Breland presented the problem of sidewalks at the A. & M.
Consolidated Schools and asked that the City contribute as much
as possible. Motion by J. A. Orr, seconded by M. T. Harrington,
that the City contribute $250. Motion by C. W. Crawford, seconded
by J. A. Orr that the City loan A. & M. Consolidated School Board
$250. for sidewalks providing the Mothers Club contribute $250.
Motion by J. A. Orr, seconded by C. W. Crawford that the City agree
to share one-third of th.e expense of the extension of sewer lines
and dunbar beds in College hills.
Motion by E. E. Brown, seconded by M. T. Harrington that the City
adopt the Meat Ordinance that Bryan has in effect.
Mayor Langford and Business Manager L. D. Smith were instructed
to check prices charged by taxi-cabs in the city limits of College
Station and also check with the O.D.T. in regards to issuing extra

permits and possibility of having one cab stationed within the
city limits to take care of College Station people.
Mayor Langford was instructed to refer to Equalization Board re-
garding tax rendition of J. G. Brown and H. L. Langford.
