Members Present: Mayor Langford, Councilmen Orr, R. L. Brown,
E. E. Brown, M. T. Harrington and C. W. Crawford.
Visitors: Dr. T. T. Walton and S. R. Wright, City Sanitary Engineer.
There was a discussion by Dr. Walton on mosquito control and on sewage
disposal.
Motion was made by R. L. Brown, seconded by Orr, that the City pay
the salary of one man to work in connection with A. & M. College on the
force directed by Mr. Winder; this to be worked out between Winder
and L. D. Smith.
Motion was made by Crawford, seconded by Crawford, seconded by Har-
rington, that the certificates of cancellation on taxes, for 1942,
be cancelled.
There was a discussion on draining the Swartz tank and installing a
water trough. L. D. Smith was instructed by the Mayor and tie Council
to proceed with this project.

L. D. Smith was instructed to take care of the car which was damaged
in the wreck by W. W. Rickards.
The Council agreed for Mr. Simpson to sot up books on basis, begin-
ning January 1, 1943.
It wasagreed for L. D. Smith to countersign checks when Mr. Langford
was not available.
