Meeting of the City Council, Thursday, May 1st. igt 41
1 The City Council of the City of College Station met on Thursday,
may 1st, with Mayor Anderson, Councilmen Lipscomb, Orr, Langford,
and Munson present.
A motion was made by Mr. Orr, seconded by Mr. Munson, that the
property contract with. Dr. Clark be amended to read, that all
utilities installed by him will belong to the city, and that the

Motion was made by Mr. Langford, seconded by Mr. Munson, that the
Mayor be authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of b
the lot from Dr. Woodard. Motion carried.
Motion was made by Mr. Munson, seconded by Mr. Orr, that the Coun-
cil authorizeithe Mayor to advise all persons who may deposit
100 for moving houses over the city streets, that 4 25 of said
deposit will be retained by the city until the present plan of
moving the houses from the Campus is conpleted. At that time,
the city will compute the actual assessment in order that the actual
cost be equitably spread to all movers for the moving, raising, and
repairing of all utility lines that are owned by l"ublic Utility
companies. Charges for the moving of city owned power lines will
be paid for by the person having the work done, When the final
costs are determined, the unused portion of the $ 25 deposit, will
be refunded to each depositor.
Motion was made by Mr. Orr, seconded by mr. Langford, that the
Mayor be authorized to purchase the Boyett lots, when it is found
out if the sewage can be run by gravity into the College lines;
pending Mr. Barger's investigation as to the title of these lots.
Mot ion carried.
Motion was made by Mr. Orr, seconded by Mr. Lipacomb, that Mr.
Frank Brown be given the authority to make an estimate of the
electric lines and the cost of replacement of any lines, in Col-
lege Hills Estates, and that the city pay him for this work.
Motion carried.
Motion was made by Mr. Langford, seconded by Mr. Orr, to grade the
new street from Highway 6 to the "olick Addition.
