II' Minutes of the City 'ouncil Meeting Thursday, April 3, 1941.

The City Council met in the City Office Thursday, April y3, with
Mayor Anderson, Councilmen Langford, Wilcox, Munson, Lipscomb,
City Engineer McNew and City Secretary Loveless present.
Motion was made by Mr. Munson, seconded by 1tr. Langford, to ask
Mr. Barger to prepare an ordinance controlling absentee voting,
and an ordinance on the time limit for filing petitions. motion
carried.
Motion was made by Mr. Langford, seconded by Mr. Munson, that th"
Council accept the recommendation of the Utility Committee relat
ive to the extensions of all services connected to the city sys-
tem;ownership of such services and extensions.
1. All extensions to water and sewer lines will be made by
city rorces at the expense of the developer.
2. Said extensions shall comply with all city standards.
3. All bills will be rendered by the city, including tap
fees, meter fees, inspection fees, and all monies so
paid shall belong to the city.
4. The city will maintain all lines at city expense.
5. Title to all lines so placed shall be vested solely in
the city without payment of any kind by said city.
6. It is the stated policy teat no further utility purchases
will be made by the city.
The Council canvassed the returns of the city election and declar-
ed that S. A. Lipscomb, George B. Wilcox, and J. A. Orr were elec-
ted as City Councilmen and that Sidney L. Loveless was elected as
City Secretary. The following number of votes were cast;

• Motion was made by Mr. Wilcox, seconded by itr. Lipscomb, for the
city to make arrangements to in-ve a clean-up campaign. Motion
carried.
