AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2. DEFINITIONS, OF ORDINANCE NO.
1638, THE ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
SPECIFICALLY TO PROVIDE A DEFINTION FOR "GROUP HOUSING"; AND
SECTIONS ?.?D, 7.8D, AND ?.13D, TO LIST SAID USE AS A
CONDITIONAL USE IN THE R-5, R-6, AND C-1 DISTRICTS; AND
SECTION 9.3 NUMBER OF PARKING SPACES REQUIRED, TO DETERMINE
PARKING REQUIREMENTS FOR SAID USE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas, held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7=00 p.m. on
Thursday, July 26, 1990, on the question of defining "group
housing" and parking requirements thereof;
AND WHEREAS, the city Council has determined to amend these
sections;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS:
Amend Section 2 to include~
GROUP HOUSING: A building under joint occupancy that provides
group sleeping accomodations for more than 4 persons per
household, where each unit may be equipped for food
preparation and where some common facilities (ie. living
areas, bathrooms, dining areas) serve all units within that
building.
Amend Section 7.7 D. to include:
Group Housing.
Amend Section 7.8 D. to include:
Group Rousing.
Amend Section 7.13. D. to include:
Group Rousing.
Amend Section 9.3 to include=

This ordinance shall become effective from and after its
passage in accordance with the City Charter of the City of
College Station.
