AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2. OF ORDINANCE NO. 1638, THE
ZONING ORDINANCE FOR THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
SPECIFICALLY TO PROVIDE A DEFINITION FOR THE TERM "NIGHT
CLUB"; AND AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 7.13.B. AND 7.13.D
OF SAID ZONING ORDINANCE, SPECIFICALLY AFFECTING THE
PERMITTING PROCEDURE FOR NIGHT CLUBS IN ANY ZONING DISTRICT
WH~R~ SUCH USE IS ALLOWED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas, held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7=00 p.m.
on Thursday, May 24, 1990, on the question of determining a
definition for the term "night club", and on the question of
requiring a use permit as a requisite for issuance of a
Building Permit or use of an existing building or structure~
AND WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to amend these
sections~
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS=
Section 2. is amended to include:
NIGHT CLUB~ Any business operated primarily for the purpose
of the sale of alcoholic beverages by the drink, including,
but not limited to, taverns, bars, and cocktail lounges.
Section 7.13.B. is amended to delete:
-barF.
Section 7.13.D ls amended to add:
Nlaht clubs.
This ordinance shall become effective from and after its
passage in accordance with the City Charter of the City of
College Station.
PASSED, ADOPTED, AND APPROVED this 24th day of May, 1990.
