HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-1815 - Ordinance - 07/27/1989ORDINANCE NO. 1815 AN ORDINANCE REZONING A TWO ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND, LYING AND BEING SITUATED IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 7, COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE, FROM R-5 APARTMENT/MEDIUM DENSITY TO C-N NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 27, 1989, on the question of rezoning certain areas within the City Limits: AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following: To rezone or change the classification of a 2.00 acre tract or parcel of land, lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League, Abstract No. 7, College Station, Brazos County, Texas, being a portion of the unplatted remainder of a 156.56 acre tract conveyed from Clement A. Dobrovolny, at al, to People's Mortgage Company of Llano, Texas, as described by deed recorded in Volume 587, Page 220 of the Deed Records of Brazos County, Texas, said 2.00 acre tract being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which is the intersection of the southeast right-of-way line of Rock Prairie Road with the southwest boundary line of Westchester Park Phase One, as shown by plat recorded in Volume 1054, Page 373, of the Official Records of Brazos County Texas. Said point being the beginning of a curve to the right. THENCE in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 39.27 feet along the arc of said curve (Curve data: central angle = 90000,00", radius = 25.00 feet, tangent = 25.00 feet, the chord bears S 83*02159" E for a distance of 35.36 feet) to a point for end of said curve. THENCE S 38002'59" E for a distance of 225.00 feet with the southwest right-of-way line of Victoria Avenue and said subdivision boundary line to a point for corner. THENCE S 51057'01" W for a distance of 349.02 feet to a point for corner. THENCE N 38002'59" W for a distance of 250.00 feet to a point for corner in the southeast right-of-way line of the proposed extension of Rock Prairie Road. THENCE N 51057'01" E for a distance of 324.02 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 2.00 acres of land, more or less, from R-5 Apartment/Medium Density to C-N Neighborhood Business.
