AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 12, SECTION 1, SUBSECTION A, OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES CONCERNING STATUTORY AUTHORITY OF THE PLANNING
AND ZONING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the current ordinance refers to the prior statutes.
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, that:
I.
Chapter 12, Section 1, Subsection A of the Code of Ordinances of
the City of College Station is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 1: PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
A. AUTHORITY
The City of College Station, Texas, as a home rule city, has
by City Charter, all the powers authorized by Sections
211.001-.013 and 212.001-.017 of the Texas Local Government
Code, as amended, which are hereby adopted, which authorize
the appointment of a planning and zoning commission, and
which set out certain authority and responsibility for such
a commission."
Ii.
This ordinance shall become effective from and after its
passage in accordance with the City Charter of the City of
College Station.
