HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-1909 - Ordinance - 09/12/1991ORDINANCE NO. lgOg ~N ORDINANCE LHVYZNG THE AD VALOREM TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION AND PROVIDING FOR THE GENERAL DEBT SERVICE FUND FOR THE YEAR 1991-92 AND APPORTIONING EACH LEVY FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSES. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TERAS~ SECTION I. That there is hereby levied and there shall be collected for the use and support of the municipal governuent of tho city of college Station, and to provide eeneral Debt Service Fund for tho lggl-g2 fiscal year upon all property, real, personal and mixed within the corporate limits of said city sub~ect to taxation, a tax of forty cents ($0.4000) on each one hundred dollar ($100.00) valuation of property, and said tax beinq so levied and apportioned to the specific purpose herein set forth~ For the maintenance and support of the general government (General Fund), twelve and twenty-five one hundredths cents ($0.1225) on each one hundred dollar ($100.00) valuatlon of property~ and For the General Debt Service Fund, twenty-seven and seventy-five one hundredths cents.($0.2?7$) on each one hundred dollars ($100.00) valuat=on of property to he used for principal and interest payments on bonds and other obligatlons of the fund. SBCTIO~ II. Ali monies collected under this ordinance f~r t~e 8pecifx? items therein named, shall be.a~d the sem~ ~e 9e e y appropraated and set apart for the specafac purpose ana~ca~ea an each item and the ~ssessor and Collector of Taxes and the Executive Director of Finance shall keep these accounts so as to readily and distinctly show the amount collected, the amounts expended and the amount on hand at any time, belonging to such funds· It is hereby made th? duty of the Tax ~ssess~r and Collector to deliver at the tame of depositing any monxes, a statement showinq to what fund such deposit should bo made and from what source received· SECTION III.
