AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 10.18 ACRE TRACT OF I..AND SITUATED IN THE ROBERT
STEVENSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT NUMBER 54, IN BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING A
PORTION OF THE 159657 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED BY WELLBORN ROAD, LTD TO LIEVEN J.
VAN RIET ET AL BY A TRUSTEES DEED DATED APRIL 7, 1987 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME
963, PAGE 29 OF THE OFFICIAL RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM A-O
AGRICULTURAL OPEN TO R-I SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, BRAZOS
COUNT%', TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall Council Ghambers at 7'00 p.m on
Thursday, June 25, t992 on the question of rezoning a cer,,,n area within the City limits,
AND WHEREAS, the Cay Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classtficaUon of a 10.18 acre tract located along the east side of Arnold Road
extending the length between Schaffer Road and Vicloria Avenue, having approximately 1400 feet of fronlage
on Arnold Road and approxtmately 305 feet of depth; from A-O Agrtcultural Open to R-I Single Family
Res,denltal; subject tract more specifically described as:
All thai certain tract or parcel of land lying and being situated in the Robert Stevenson Survey,
Abstract Number 54, in Brazos County, Texas, and being a portion of the 159.657 acre tract
con,,eyed by Wellborn Road, Ltd to Lteven J. Van Rtet et al by Trustee's Deed dated April 7, 1987
and recorded tn Volume 963, Page 29 of the Official Records of Bmzos County, Texas
COMMENCING, aS. an iron rod found marking the most easterly corner of the said 159657 acre
tracl, said tron road also being m Ihe soalhwest rtghl-Of-Way I,n of Schaffer Road:
THENCE N 48° 30' 39' W for a dtstance of 114352 feet along the fenced southwest hne of said
Schaffer Road Io the POINT OF BEGINNING,

for corner;
THENCE N 47° 43' 26" W for a dmtance of 305.01 feet to an angle point in the north line of Ihe
satd 159 657 acre tract for corner, sa,d corner also being tn the southeast line of a county road called
Arnold Road,
THENCE along the satd line Gl Arnold Road, as fenced for the followtng three calls.
