AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, SECTION 1, OF THE CODE OF ORDI-
NANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION BY RENAMING THE SECTION AND
BY AMENDING SUBSECTIONS A AND H PERTAINING TO WATER AND ELECTRIC
UTILITY CONNECTION CHARGES TO COVER THE ADMINISTRATIVE COST OF
LABOR FOR THE CONNECTING OF UTILITY SERVICE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas
at its meeting on December 12, 1991, received evidence concerning
the cost of connecting water and electric utility service; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas
determined the cost of connecting water and electric utility ser-
vice should be charged as a separate fee;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
That the title of Chapter 11, Section 1, of the Code of Ordi-
nances of the City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"SECTION 1:
UTILITY DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS
AND CONNECTION FEES"
II.
That Chapter 11, Section l-A, of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"A.
DEPOSITS AND CONNECTION FEES REOUI~n
FOR ELECTRIC AND WATER SERVICE
(1)
Any person, firm, or corporation desiring utility ser-
vice from the City of College Station, Texas, shall be
required as a prerequisite for such service to furnish
a utility security deposit equal to the amounts out-
lined in this section.
(2)
An administrative charge covering the cost of labor for
the connection of water and electric utility service
shall be paid prior to the connection of said services
equal to the amounts outlined in this section.,,

III.
That Chapter 11, Section l-H, of the Code of Ordinances of the
City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended to read as
follows=
"H. CONNECTIO__NFEES
(1)Residential Service (all classes of
residential consumers)
(a) Electrical connection $17.00
(b) Water connection $12.50
(c) Connection of both services $25.00
(2) Commercial and Industrial Service
(a) Electrical connection
(b) Water connection
(c) Connection of both services
IV.

$50.00"
This ordinance shall become effective and be in full force and
effect on and after the 1st day of January, 1992.
