AN ORDINANCE REVOKING SECTION 6 OF CHAPTER 7 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, PERTAINING TO
SOFT SERVE ESTABLISHMENTS.
WHEREAS, the Brazos County Health Department is updating its
procedures and operations, and the recent evaluation of the Envi-
ronmental Health Services Division included a recommendation to
cease the routine collection of frozen desserts; and
WHEREAS, the modern trend is to treat all frozen and poten-
tially hazardous food desserts as any other potentially hazardous
food; and
WHEREAS, the inspection of Soft Serve Establishments in
College Station will continue pursuant to existing City Code
sections providing for inspection of potentially hazardous food
and retail food establishments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, that Section 6 of Chapter 7 of
the City of College Station Code pertaining to Soft Serve Estab-
lishments is hereby revoked and repealed effective September 30,
1992.
