HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995-2118 - Ordinance - 03/28/1995ORDINANCE NO. 2118 WHEREAS. the City Council of the City of College Station, Texas (the "City") ordered an election to be held in the City on March 25. 1995. on the PROPOSITIONS hereinafter stated, and WHEREAS, the City Council has investigated ail matters pertaining to said election, including the ordering, g~ving notice, officers appointed, holding and making returns of said election, and WHEREAS, the election officers who held said election have duly made the returns of the result thereof, and said returns have been duly delivered to the City Council, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, THAT ! FOR 1.038 VOTES AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF $1,365,000 TAX BONDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CENTRAL FIRE STATION AND PARKING AND STORAGE FACILITIES, INCLUDING ACQUISITION OF NECESSARY LAND FOR SUCH PURPOSES PROPOSITION N0. 7 1.738 VOTES FOR 987 VOTES AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF $1,630,000 TAX BONDS FOR PARKS AND RECREATION FACILITIES IMPROVF_JVIENTS, INCLUDING THE ACQUISITION OF A_NY NECESSARY LAND THEREFOR PROPOSITION NO. 8 1`608 VOTES FOR 1,111 VOTES AGAINST THE ISSUANCE OF $!,500,000 TAX BONDS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF LAND AND INITIAL DEVELOPMENT OF A MAJOR ATHLETIC PARK 3 The City Council officially finds, determines, and daclares the results of said election to be that each PROPOSITION so submitted has received a favorable majority vote in ail respects and has carried. 4 The aforesaid bonds receiving a favorable vote may be issued, and the aforesaid bond taxes may be levied, assessed, and collected annually as voted and as provided by law PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 28TH DAY OF MARCH, 1995 APPROVED
