AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, SECTION 2D, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION RELATING TO SPECIAL HAZARD INTERSECTIONS CONTROLLED BY STOP SIGNS, AND DECLARING THAT ATTENDANT FACTS NECESSITATE IMMEDIATE ACTION. WHEREAS, the City Council met at its regular meeting on March 23, 1995, and found that it would be in the best interest and safety of the citizens to amend Chapter 10, Section 2D, of the Code of Ordinances by adding stop signs at the follow~ng ~ntersections- (1) S~enna Drive Southbound at Holleman Drive West (2) Jones-Butler Road Southbound at Holleman Dr~ve West {3) Woodway Drwe Southbound at Holleman Drive West (4) Southwest Parkway West Southbound at Holleman Drive West NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION THAT- I Chapter 10, Section 2D, of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows: 'D. SPECIAL HAZARD INTERSECTIONS CONTROLLED BY STOP SIGNS The City hereby designates certain spec;al hazard intersections to be controlled by stop s~gns. The designated special hazard intersections for the City of College Station to be controlled by stop s~gns are described ;n Traffic Control Dewce Inv ntor - chedul III (dated August 2, 1988, as amended) on file in the office of the C~ty Secretary. This schedule is hereby adopted and ~ncorporated ;n th~s Code as if set out at length hereto and ~s amended by adding stop s~gns at the follow~ng special hazard Intersections (1) Sienna Dr~ve Southbound at Holleman Drive West (2) Jones-Buffer Road Southbound at Holleman Dnve West (3) Woodway Drive Southbound at Holleman Dr~ve West (4) Southwest Parkway West Southbound at Holleman Dr~ve West The schedule may be amended from time to time by ordinance of the C~ty Council A current schedule shall be maintained by the C~ty Secretary at all t~mes" I1. The preservation of the general welfare of the pubhc necessitates ~mmed~ate action. This Ordinance shall be effective from and after the date of ~ts passage as prowded by the Charter of the C~ty of College Station.
