ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF A TWENTY
FOOT WIDE UTILITY EASEMENT, WHICH CROSSES AND LIES WITHIN LOT
19, OAKBROOK VALLEY SUBDIVISION SECTION ONE (MORE COMMONLY
KNOWN AS 2908 MEADOWBROOK COURT), IN THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the City of College Station, has rece ved an Application for the Aban-
donment of a portion of a twenty foot wide utility .e. ase_ment; which crosses, a.nd lies
within Lot 19, Oakbrook Va ey Subd v s on Section une [more cp..mmomy ~(n...o~'n
as 2908 Meadowbrook Court) n the City of College Station, saia portion of tne
utility easement being more particularly described on Exhibit 'A' attached hereto;
and
WHEREAS on November 10, 1994, the City Council of the City of College Station,
Texas, heard the application of Huckaby Construction for t. hev. aca!!.o..n and aban;
donment of the aforement oned port on of the twenty foot wlee utmty easem_ent
that crosses and lies within Lot 19, Oakbrook Valley Subdivision Section One,
according to the plat recorded in Volume 2036, Page 331, of the Official Records
of Brazos County, Texas,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it orda ned by the C~ty Council of the City of College
Station, Texas, that a port,on of a twenty foot wide stnp of land previously platted
as a utility easement, which crosses and es within Lot 19, Oakbrook Valley
Subd,vision Section One (more commonly known as 2908 Meadowbrook Court) n
the City of College Station, as described on Exh~it "A_" atta.ched, hereto.: I~. ab.a.n-
doned and vacated; that the Mayor and the ~;ity ~ecretar~ De aumonze= to
convey by quit claim deed on behalf of the City of College Station any right or
claim that the City has in and to said portion of said twenty foot wide strip of land
to the property owners, Bryan and Gilda Foster.

Partial Abandonment of Easement, Lot 19
A description of the partial abandonmnet of a 20' wide utility easement, lying within Lot 19,
OAKBROOK VALLEY SUBDIVISION, SECTION ONE, City of College Station, Brazos County,
Texas, according to the plat recorded in Volume 2036, page 331, Official Records of said county,
said 20' wide utility easement being a drainage easement according to the Deed Restrictions
recorded in Volume 2009, page 344, Official Records of smd county and being further described
as follows:
COMMENCING at a found 1]2"' iron rod marking the southwesterly right-of-way l/ne of 50' wide
Meadowbrook Court for the common corner of Lots lg and 19, and the centerline of said 20'
wide utihty easement;
THENCE along said Meadowbrcok Court line, a curve concave to the southwest~ havres a radius
of 739.37', the followin8 calls'-
Northwesterly along said curve, a arc distance of 9.00', through a central angle of
0°41'5t" to the POINT OF BEGINNING of part/al abandonmnet of easement;
Northwesterly along said curver a arc distance of 1.00', through a central angle of
0°04,39,,;
THENCE S 42°08'25'' V/ along the northwesterly line of said 20" wide utility easement a distance
of 143.93';
T~ENCE S 47°51'35" E along the northeasterly line of a 20' wide utility easement, the centerline
~hich lies along the southwesterly hne of Lot 19 a distance of 1.00';
THENCE N 42°08'25'' E across the first descrJbed 20' wide utihty easement, a distance of 143.94'
to the POINT OF BEGINNING of partial abandonment of easement and containing 143.9 square
feet of land more or less.
