Election by 5:00 p.m.; Last day to order
General/Special Election
MONDAY, AUGUST 17, 2026 Last day to file as write-in candidate for
General/Special Election
THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2026 Last day to file for Special Election Vacancy, City
Secretary's office, by 6:00 p.m.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 21, 2026 Drawing for order of candidates on ballot,
City Secretary's office, 9:00 a.m. (53.093)
MONDAY, AUGUST 24, 2026 Last day for a candidate to withdraw from
General and/or Special Election and have name
removed from ballot
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 2026 Deadline for a candidate to file the "Personal
Financial Statement" form required by state
statute with the City Secretary's Office.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2026 First day to mail early ballots, if available
MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2026 First report due of campaign and expenditures
by opposed candidates and specific purpose
committees. (If the 30t1i day lands on a weekend,
it will need to be filed with the City Secretary's
Office the next business day.)
MONDAY, OCTOBER 5, 2026 Last day to submit voter registration application
to Brazos County Voter Registrar
MONDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2026 First day for early voting by personal appearance
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23, 2026 Last day to receive application for a ballot to be
voted by mail (Received, not post marked)
MONDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2026 Second report due of campaign and expenditures
by opposed candidates and specific purpose
committee
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30, 2026 Last day for early voting by personal appearance
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026 Election Day, 7:00 a.m. — 7:00 p.m.
NOVEMBER 6-17, 2026 Period for official canvass of election
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2026 Determined by the Secretary of State, if necessary.
