A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION
TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEES TO EXECUTE
DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR THE SUBMISSION OF THE CONSTABLE BRIAN
BACHMANN CAPITAL MURDER RESPONSE GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE
OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION (CJD) FUNDS ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY AND TO ACT ON ITS BEHALF WITH RESPECT TO ANY
ISSUES THAT MAY ARISE DURING PROCESSING OF SAID APPLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council of College Station has expressed commitment to providing for the
health and safety of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of College Station finds it in the best interest of the citizens of College
Station that the Constable Brian Bachmann Capital Murder Response Grant be operated for the
2012 -2013 fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, the City of College Station agrees to provide applicable matching funds for the
said project as required by the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division grant
application; and
• BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of College Station hereby approves the
submission of the Constable Brian Bachmann Capital Murder Response Grant application to the
Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division.
PART 1: That the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager or his designees as
authorized officials to execute documents necessary for the submission of the
Constable Brian Bachmann Capital Murder Response Grant application, with
Application Number 2649501, for CJD funds to the Officer of the Governor on
behalf of the City of College Station and to act on its behalf with respect to any
issues that may arise during processing of said application.
PART 2: That the City Manager or his designees as authorized officials are given the power
to apply for, accept, reject, alter or terminate the Constable Brian Bachmann
Capital Murder Response Grant on behalf of the City of College Station.

PART 3: That the City of College Station agrees in the event of loss or misuse of the
Criminal Justice Division funds, the City of College Station assures the funds will
be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full.
PART 5: That this resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage.
