HomeMy WebLinkAbout2003-2660 - Ordinance - 09/09/2003ORDINANCE NO. 2660 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 11, "UTILITIES", OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS AS SET OUT BELOW; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS: PART 1: That Chapter 11, "Utilities", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, be amended as set out in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a part of this ordinance for all purposes. PART 2: That if any provisions of any section of this ordinance shall be held to be void or unconstitutional, such holding shall in no way effect the validity of the remaining provisions or sections of this ordinance, which shall remain in full force and effect. PART 3: These rates are effective for bills issued on or after October 1, 2003. PASSED, ADOPTED and APPROVED this 9th day of September, 2003. ATTEST: Connie Hooks, City Secretar~ APPROVED: X'RON SILVIA, M~iybi; APPROVED: City Attorney O/group/legal/ordinance/amendmentform. doc ORDINANCE NO. 2660 Page 2 EXHIBIT "A" That Chapter 11, "Utilities", Section 2, "Water and Sewer Services", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College Station, Texas, is hereby amended, by amending Subsection E(3) to read as follows' WATER AND SEWER RATES, DEPQ.SITS, USAGE CHARGES AND FEES (3) Rates for Sewerage Service (a) For customers using sewerage service for household purposes, individually metered single family, individually metered duplex family residences, within the corporate limits of the City: (b) Service Charge: Usage Charge: Maximum Billing: $15.75 for first 4,000 gallons of water metered $2.98 per 1,000 gallons of water usage for the next 6,000 gallons of water metered. $33.63 cap for metered water is 10,000 gallons For customers using sewerage service for household purposes, multi- family residences with kitchen facilities in each unit (non-individually metered single family, non-individually metered duplexes, triplexes, quadruplexs, apartments) within the corporate limits of the City: Monthly Charge per Household Unit: $20.04 (c) For customers using sewerage service for household purposes, multi- family residences with more than 50 units without kitchen facilities in each unit Monthly Charge per Household Unit: $12.50 (d) For customers using sewerage service for commercial and/or industrial business establishments within the corporate limits of the City and for customers using sewerage service for household purposes, multi-family residences such as Fraternity houses, Sorority houses, Boarding houses and Privately Owned Student Dorms serving 50 units or less without kitchen facilities in each unit Service Charge' Usage Charge: $11.15 per month $3.50 per 1,000 gallons of water usage.
