AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10, "TRAFFIC CODE", OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS, BY AMENDING
CERTA1N SECTIONS AS SET OUT BELOW; PROVID~G A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE;
DECLARING A PENALTY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION,
TEXAS:
PART 1:
That Chapter 10, "Traffic Code", of the Code of Ordinances of the City of College
Station, Texas, be amended as set out in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and made a
part of this ordinance for all purposes.
PART 2:
That if any provisions of any section of this ordinance shall be held to be void or
unconstitutional, such holding shall in no way effect the validity of the remaining
provisions or sections of this ordinance, which shall remain in full force and
effect.
PART 3:
That any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this
chapter shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be punishable by a fine of not less than One Dollar ($1.00) nor more than
Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). Each day such violation shall continue or be
permitted to continue, shall be deemed a separate offense. Said Ordinance, being
a penal ordinance, becomes effective ten (10) days after its date of passage by the
City Council, as provided by Section 35 of the Charter of the City of College
Station.

EXHIBIT "A"
That Chapter 10, "Traffic Code", Section 3E(2), of the Code of Ordinances of the City of
College Station, Texas, is hereby amended as hereinafter set out:

By amending paragraph numbered (c) to read as follows:
(c)
FM 2154 (Wellborn Road), for traffic moving in a southerly direction for the first
0.291 mile from the beginning of State Maintenance of FM 2154 in College
Station, the speed limit shall be forty (40) miles per hour. For the next 0.570 mile,
the speed limit shall be thirty-five (35) miles per hour. For the next 0.331 mile, the
speed limit shall be forty (40) miles per hour. For the next 1.523 miles, the speed
limit shall be forty-five (45) miles per hour. For the next 2.439 miles to the
College Station South City Limit, the speed limit shall be fifty-five (55) miles per
hour.
FM 2154 (Wellborn Road), for traffic moving in a northerly direction for the first
2.439 miles from the College Station South City Limit, the speed limit shall be
fifty-five (55) miles per hour. For the next 1.523 miles, the speed limit shall be
forty-five (45) miles per hour. For the next 0.331 mile, the speed limit shall be
forty (40) miles per hour. For the next 0.570 mile, the speed limit shall be thirty-
five (35) miles per hour. For the next 0.291 mile to the end of State Maintenance
of FM 2154 in College Station, the speed limit shall be forty (40) miles per hour.

By amending the existing paragraph numbered (i)(11) to read as follows:

Greens Prairie Road, for traffic moving in an easterly direction for the first
1.666 miles from the West City Limit, the speed limit shall be fifty-five
(55) miles per hour. For the next 0.750 mile, the speed limit shall be forty
(40) miles per hour. For the next 0.694 mile, the speed limit shall be
forty-five (45) miles per hour. For the next 0.641 mile, the speed limit
shall be fifty-five (55) miles per hour. For the next 3.870 miles, the speed
limit shall be sixty (60) miles per hour to the intersection of Greens Prairie
Road and SH 30.

For traffic moving in a westerly direction for the first 3.870 miles from the
intersection of Greens Prairie Road and SH 30, the speed limit shall be
sixty (60) miles per hour. For the next 0.641 mile, the speed limit shall be
fifty-five (55) miles per hour. For the next 0.694 mile, the speed limit shall
be forty-five (45) miles per hour. For the next 0.750 mile, the speed limit
shall be forty (40) miles per hour. For the next 1.666 miles, the speed
limit shall be fifty-five (55) miles per hour to the West City Limit.
By adding new paragraphs numbered (57) and (58) to Section 3E(2)(i) to read as
follows:

Lakeway Drive, for traffic moving north and south, the speed limit shall be
thirty-five (35) miles per hour from the intersection of Lakeway Drive and
Greens Prairie Road to the termination of Lakeway Drive.
North Graham Road, for traffic moving east and west, the speed limit
shall be fifty-five (55) miles per hour from the West City Limit to the
intersection of North Graham Road and Old Wellborn Road.
