Every permit issued by the City of College Station is subject to expiration according to the
International Residential Code. Once a permit has been issued, the permit holder has 180
days to begin the construction work; otherwise the permit will become invalid. If at any

time the work stops for a period of 180 days or more, the permit is considered invalid. The

building official is authorized to grant, one or more extensions of time, for periods not more

The City of College Station has completed the first phase of its new Comprehensive Plan! The purpose

Traffic Impact Analysis Stakeholder Meeting
The College Station City Council recently directed staff to update the requirements for
Traffic Impact Analyses in the Unified Development Ordinance. The proposed changes in-
clude lowering the threshold of when the studies are required and expanding the applica-
bility to rezonings, in addition to site plans which are currently required. Staff will be
hosting a stakeholder meeting to review these changes, address questions, and receive
comments. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 23rd at 1:30 pm in the
Council Chambers at the College Station City Hall. If you have questions prior to the

Subdivision Regulations Update Kickoff Meeting
The City of College Station will be starting the up-
date to the Subdivision Regulations with a kickoff
meeting on Wednesday, January 23rd at 3:00 pm
in the Council Chambers at the College Station
City Hall. At this meeting, staff will discuss the
overall approach for updating the Subdivision
Regulations, the citizen engagement process, as
well as the general nature of changes being pro-
posed. This meeting is intended for anyone who
has an interest in how College Station develops. If
