RESOLUTION A resolution setting forth a policy for the City with respect to granting applications for public utilities services for areas outside the City and to reimbursing developers for cost of utility lines. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION1 TEXAS: The following is hereby declared to be the policy of the City with re— spect to furnishing public utility services to areas outside the City and to reimbursing developers fdr cost of constructing utility lines in areas ad— mitted to the City: 1. The City will consider applications for connections for public utility services to serve any ad'itional area outside the city limits only when the installation of the then existing lines within said area and any additional lines remaining to be constructed within said area meet the re— quirements of the City. 2. The City will reimburse the developer of an area for the reasonable cost to him for the construction of six (6) inch, or larger, water mains with fire plugs when the area becomes a part of the City provided: a. That all streets are fifty (50) feet widef graded, and surfaced with six inches of gravel comnaeted to a minimum thickness of four (4) inches for a minimum width of twenty (20) feet and culverts of corrugated steel or concrete pipe of proper size installed to provide adequate drainage. b. That the utility lines, including water* sanitary sewer and any power lines not erected by the City are installed to completely and ad— equately serve the area in accordance with City specifications. c. That the developer convey under a deed of trust arrangement all utilities lines including water, sanitq.ry sewer and power lines not erected by the City to the City at the time such utilities are connected to utility 00238 \�� August 15, 1949 page 2. lines of the City with the provision that the developer shall receive one hundeed fifty (150) dollars for each set of connections installed prior to the time the area becomes a. part of the City, and a like amount for each set installed thereafter, until he has received a total sum equal to the reasonable cost of constructing the aforesaid six inch or larger water mains with fire plugs., or for a period not to exceed ten (10) years, whichever period is shorter, at which time title to all of said lines are to vest unconditionally in the City. o , ...� r �.i,.i' This Resolution adopted by the Council at its regular meeting of August 15, 1949,and is inserted here as part of the ~nutes of that date.
