1. Call to Order.
2. Hear Visitors. Visitors after stating name and address for the record may address the Historic
Preservation Committee for three (3) minutes. Topics for deliberation shall be discussed under the
appropriate agenda item, placed on the agenda of a subsequent meeting, or assigned to staff for
research. However, a statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy
may be issued.
3. Possible action and discussion on absence requests.
4. Possible action and discussion to approve minutes of September 12, 2011.
5. Chairperson report on meeting with City officials on September 14, 2011 concerning the current
status and future of the Historic Preservation Committee.
6. Presentation and update on Heritage Programs Coordinator position, related to job description,
division of duties, and hiring process.
7. Presentation, discussion and possible action on possible participation in Brazos Valley Worldfest.
8. Presentation on Boonville Days from Lou Hodges.
9. Presentation, discussion and possible action on Heritage Preservation Committee Bylaws.
10. Presentation, discussion and possible action on Preservation Excellence Awards.
11. Discussion review and possible action regarding the following sub - committees: Historic Marker
Program; Oral History Transcription Project; Exploring History Lunch Lecture Series;
Sponsorship Liaison & Exploring History Hosts; Landmark Commission; 75th Anniversary;
College Station Timeline & College Station History Book Advisor; "Military History on Tap in
Brazos Valley" Guidebook; Heritage Programs Acquisitions.
12. Presentation and discussion of historical items presented by committee members which may
include historical books, pictures, artifacts, scrapbooks, or other memorabilia. No action will be
taken.

14. Possible action and discussion on future agenda items - A Historic Preservation Member may
inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific factual
information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to
a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting.
