To contributors to the Holik School Site Fund:
In accordance with the request of M.L Cashion, Treasurer J. W. Mitchell, and D.B. Cofer, I have examined the record of receipts and disbursements of the Holik School Site Fund For the
period of April 1, 1939, to February 14, 1940.
Contributions were received in the amount of $ 5,052.50. of this amount, $5,039.75 was applied to the purchase of a school site and costs incidental thereto, leaving a balance of $12.75
on February 14, 1940. The committee had intended to use part of the funds to construct a fence to enclose the school grounds, but, at the request of the members of the board of the A.
and M. Independent School District, $763.00 was applied to the purchase of additional land. This Transaction practically exhausted the fund.
The members of the committee stated that there were no outstanding obligations against the fund as the above date. Unpaid subscriptions totaled $127.25. In my opinion there has been
a proper accounting for the receipts as recorded in the accompanying statement.
