INFORMAL COUNCIL MEETING
CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS
July 15, 1969
Members Present: D. A. Anderson, Mayor; Councilmen O. M. Holt, Joseph
McGraw, Bill J. Cooley, Dan R. Davis and C. H. Ransdell;
City Manager Ran Boswell; and Assistant City Attorney
Tom Giesenschlag
Members Absent: Councilman James H. Dozier
Visitors Present: Ed Burkhart, Leo Margolian, LeeRoy George, L. P. Dulaney,
Lloyd James and Bennie Luedke
The Council convened in a special called informal session at 5:05 p. m. in the
Council Room of the City Hall.
Councilman McGraw moved that the City Attorney be authorized to file suit against
all owners and lienholders, proceedings in eminent domain to acquire the following described
tracts of land for extension of F. M. 60 ( University Drive) from its present intersection with
State Highway 6 in College Station, in an eastward direction to a point of intersection with the
Eastern By-pass of State Highway 6:
_Parcel No. 1, Owned by F W. (Bert) Wheeler - 5.453 acres out of 171. 038
acre tract in Richard Carter Survey, Abstract No. 8, Brazos County, Texas.
Parcel No. 2, Owned by: Raymond Reiser - 0. 579 acres out of 9.155 acre
tract in Carter's Grove Addition, Second Installment, City of College Station, Texas.
Parcel No. 6, Owned by: Charles E. Gregory - 0.381 acres out of Lot 1, Block F,
College Heights Addition, City of College Station, Texas.
Parcel No. 7, Owned by: David B. Yarborough - 1. 349 acres out of Lot 2 and Lot 3,
Block E and Block G, College Heights Addition, City of College Station, Texas.
Parcel No. 8, Owned by: Ludwig M. Hovorak -- 0.162 acres out of Lot 3, Block C,
College Heights Addition, City of College Station, Texas.
Parcel No. 10, Owned by: Mrs. Georgia K. Fitch - 0.162 acres out of Lots 8 and 9,
Frank Visoski Subdivision, City of College Station, Texas.
Parcel No. 14, Owned by: Louis Mais - 0. 304 acres out of Lot 28, D. A. Smith
Subdivision, City of College Station, Texas.
Motion was seconded by Councilman Cooley. Motion carried.

Councilman Ransdell moved that the City of College Station enter into a contract
for water service with Texas International Speedway, and that the Mayor be authorized to
sign the contract. Motion was seconded by Councilman Davis. Motion carried.
The meeting adjourned, subject to call.
