Peggy,
You may remember my mother, Rowena CresWell, who was an
elementary principal in College Station for 24 years before her
retirement in 1973. (14'+9 1413)
She died in January of 1998. In looking through her effects,
I found what seems to be a complete set of class pictures for the
elementary school from the late 50's through the mid 60's.
I asked around tc see if there were any institution which
would like to have them, Several folk= pointed one in your
direction, saying that you collect historical documents for the
City of College Station.
If the City of College Station is interested in having the
pictures donated to it, 1 would like to have three conditions
attached :
1. The City of College Station would exercise due care in their
preservation.
2. The City would notify the College Station Independent School
District that the City has the pictures, and
3. The pictures would be made freely available to all who would
want to copy them, without a fee, beyond that needed for making
the copies.
Yours,
tsm H. Creswell, Executor
