In keeping with this truism, the College Station Parks & Recreation Department: initiated a pilot project -- flowers -in- the -park. Various flower beds were set up: - four at Thomas Park(at park signs) - plantings at Thomas Pool - plantings at Bee Creek Park pool - at Bee creek Park sign - at Brazos county Arboretum sign - at flagpole at Bee Creek ball field Flowers have done generally well. Relatively easy to take care of at sites where water is readily available; park sites have been more difficult since water had to be transported.
