about Siempre exhibit and band Thanks so much for your kind letter to The Eagle. Glad they printed it. Jay Brakefield RE: Exploring History Lunch Lectures I didn't know about them I
may try and attend a couple of the lectures. Thank you for what you do in your efforts of exploring history and preserving it. Good stuff! I will share with others.... Thanks Again,
Jeff (Reeves) Brazos County Sheriff’s Department I'm REALLY excited about this one. That poor old broken down cowboy i look after (he has early onset dementia, peripheral neuropathy-can’t
feel hands/feet, high blood pressure, liver's gone) sits out in the country watching old westerns on on VCR-no TV, and following his neighbors horses and cows around. He's not interested
in much but will love this. I've been trying to get him to Waco for five years-so we will definitely be there-hopefully early-he's 'bout blind and mostly deaf, too-so I wanna set him
close. Thank you so much for all you do-KK (Karen Karli Webb) RE: Ringer Library Mini-Display Kendra (Perkins), I'm so glad to see y'all working with Anne Boykin! Local history is marvelous
and she is a fount of knowledge on area history...one too often overlooked and her contribution downplayed! Give her a hug for me! Nan, Carnegie Librarian RE: Liendo Plantation DVD I
can't remember if I let you know I received the dvd. Thank you sooooo much, I have shown it to another docent and she started taking notes on the information. I have critiqued myself.
But I understand we are our own worst critic. I most definitely enjoyed the time there and have some tours that resulted from my visit. Michele Wendt, Event Coordinator, Liendo Plantation
RE: Museum of the American G.I. – Tanks for the Memories Dinner This is what makes it all worthwhile. This is a quote from my granddaughter, Ava, speaking about her great-grandfather
and my dad, Calvin C. Boykin, Jr. Dad was a SGT in the 814th TD Bn. Sweetest thing: "When I heard that general soldier talking about "Remembering Me" I was thinking of Cal and how much
I missed him. I almost cried. I wish he was here, GrAnne." Ava Delaine Gunter, 8 years old. When you make an impression like this, Denny, you're doing it right! How often does an ADD
8 year old truly listen at the end of a long day at an adult's event. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for all you do! Anne Boykin Thank you so much for the kind words. I did not know the poem would have such an effect. In fact, after I read it I knew I could not equal it with
a Patton rendition of anything and decided it spoke for itself and let it stand as the whole speech. I was afraid afterwards people would be disappointed. I am glad you took the time
to write me about your Ava. Denny (Hair), Gen. George S. Patton re-enactor
