Vanecek Department of Parks and Recreation City of College Station 100 Krenek Tap Road College Station, Texas 77840 Dear Mr. Vanecek: Plans for the dedication of the historical marker at the Richard Carter homesite are about complete. I am enclosing a draft copy. Madge Wallace is preparing the camera -ready copy for printing. I will bring it by your office on Tuesday, February 25. We can discuss the printing at that time.- I have included the playing of the national anthem and "Texas, Our Texas" on the program, as we discussed. I am presuming that you will have the tapes and a music reproducing system at the park. If not, call me (846 -6478) so that I can delete it from the program. I have sent a letter to Mayor Halter confirming his part on the program. I have also sent a letter to Mr. Cole inviting him and asking that all city employees and the City Council be invited. Let me know if others should receive an invitation. Of course, our press release will indicate that the public is invited to the ceremony. As other items occur to me I will be checking with you by telephone. Sincerely, .....- _ James L.
