Am happy to have that. Patricia Jackson Schmidt, CHS Class of '59Your letter was perfect and I truly appreciate the very kind remarks you made throughout. Your support of our nomination this year will push us over the top; I am confident of it. Will McWhorter, Texas Historical CommissionDear Susan (Irza), You gave a great introduction today at lunch. The talk wasinteresting, and I really wish there had been time for the peoplethere to have told more College Station history. The food was greattoo. I sat with the Lincoln Center members, and they commented on thegood food. I plan to come to next month's meeting too. Sherry EllisonWay to go Girl ! You are having an AWESOME week. David GerlingI like the new "Fridge Flyer" and have downloaded two copies, one for the Fridge and one for the computer table. Neat-o! Peggy HopeWe had dinner at Cafe Excell that night and spent 6 hours on the A&M campus yesterday with your map of historic buildings, stopping to go inside many of them and to read all the historic markers. We even had lunch in the old cafeteria building. By 3:30 we were ready for a serious nap, but headed home instead. We'll have to see the rest of the list on another visit. Thanks VERY much for the packet of brochures. It was much appreciated and we read through a lot of it. Sorry we didn't make it to the Veteran's trail, but that will leave something for next time.We found the 'spirit' of the students to be exceptionally helpful -many came up to us (with our map open) and asked if they could help. And a Corps director came out and answered our questions about their uniforms at the Corps Museum. Rather a different attitude than at UT. What a huge campus!Hope to see you in Austin sometime soon.Phoebe Allen City of College Station Parks and Recreation Department HERITAGE PROGRAMS PROGRESS REPORT FEBRUARY 2011 Anne Boykin Heritage Programs Coordinator You've done a fantastic job of getting so many documents scanned into Project HOLD. These documents need to be organized soon to make them easier to find and access. Jerry Cooper Thank you -so much -for the pleasant conversation -and for your kindness to folks like me. Haskell Monroe
