Sweetheart
Miss Donna Heritage, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Heri-
tage Jr. of 1119 Berkeley in
College Station, Saturday was
named band sweetheart of the
A &M Consolidated High
School Band at a banquet held
at the Ramada Inn.
The dinner for the bands -1
men was sponsored by the
Consolidated Band Boosters 1
Club.
Miss Heritage, a senior, has
been a member of Consolidated
bands for six years. She plays
in the percussion section.
Band director Bill Atkins
said that several award win-
nes were announced at t h e
banquet. However, the awards
will not be presented until the
school -wide awards program
later this month.
The recipient of the Arion
Award to the outstanding band
member was announced as
Stephen Henry, son of Mr. and
Mrs. W. K. H e n r y of 1202
Caudill in College Station. •
Henry is a senior and plays the
trombone.
Runners -up for the sweet-
heart honor were Kay Calla-
han, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Pat Callahan of the Western
Motel, and Tanya Burkhalter,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C.
H. Burkhalter of Jones Bridge
Road.
