Ethan Wingate, assistant pool manager at Southwood Pool, Danny Jones, a draftsman for the parks planning office, and Larry Brown, a swim coach for College Station Parks Department, were awarded jackets for their helpful attitude toward the public as well as fellow workers. Members of the parks maintenance crew who were involved in a series of television public service announcements entitled, "Play Happy - Play Safe ", were awarded caps for their dedication to service and their creativity in getting the PSA'S produced.
