The parade will begin promptly at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2006. The parade route: line up begins at the intersection of W 20 St and N Bryan Street, proceed south on N Bryan Street to W 28th Street, left on W 28th Street to S Main Street, then left on S Main Street, and concluding at W 20 St and N Main Street. Enter the lineup area from Martin Luther King Street onto N Bryan Street and proceed to W 20 Street for entrant parking directions. The parade in route time is about 25 minutes. This parade is intended to honor our veterans' sacrifices. Each year the Bryan Rotary Club takes time to show our appreciation to local veterans for their service to our country. There is no better way to show appreciation than to have a parade. We want to give civic groups, schools, businesses, or individual veterans the opportunity to enter and show support for our past and present veterans. To be in our parade is to be honored and to show honor for veterans. Businesses, clubs, and civic groups from the Brazos Valley are encouraged to submit an entry for the parade. Thee is no charge for an entry. Veterans groups from around the area are invited to attend. Family members of servicemen and women are invited to participate and show their support for their loved one. Trailers will be provided for WWII veterans to ride. We are looking to obtain sponsors to be able to bring some veterans from San tonio or Fort Hood to the event for 2 nites and three days with activities starting with the reopening of the George Bush Library at noon on Saturday. This event has be: n well received wherever we have talked about it — first publicity article going in 1 V Facts on 7/29/70. It is our goal that his veterans day will be a day to remember and that are only problem will be how to r: . eat it next year. I have also contac ed Mike Green with The Theater Company and we are trying to work on some ideas that aybe with the help of volunteers we will be able to have some theater type entertainmen .
