The College Station City
Council annexed four tracts of
land totaling approximately
1,277 acres Monday night.
Tract 1, containing ap-
proximately 202.9 acres is
located near the Bryane sewer
plant near the East Bypass.
Tract 2, a 50.1 acre tract; is
on the west side of SH 6 is
ween the West and East
Bypasses.
Tract 3 contains 1,025.05 acres
and is south of and 500 feet
beyond SH 30. Tract 4 is ap-
proximately six acres and is
adjacent to tract 2.

since the council changed the
sidewalk policy during its Jan.
25 meeting.
.The new policy requires a
' petition signed by 70 per cent
of the ownership of the linear
feet of property adjoining a
street and raised the
assessments to $1.50 per run
ning foot. The policy formerly
required 100 per cent par -
ticipatioeand $1 per foot.
The council approved an
ordinance rezoning a 41.5 acre
tract of land owned by Mrs.
Jim O'Brien of 1001 Shady
Drive, College Station. The land
is on the south Side of SH 30.
