Counci to Choose
Mayor Pro Tem
I Selection of the mayor pro
tem, discussion of the proposed
landfill, and rezoning are the
main items of business for the
College Station City Council
meeting at 7 p.m. Monday.
The council will hear a
representative from the Oak
Hill subdivision concerning the
sanitary landfill.
A group of 44 Oak Hill
sidents met on April 5 and
pared a petition requesting
e council "to select a more
table location." The residents
d they plan to attend Mon

-The council will select a
yor pro tern and appoint
rious committees, boards and
commissions.
Consideration will be given to
rezoning of specific lots in the
Kapchinskie subdivision, of land
located at the corner of Welsh
!Street and Southwest Parkway
and of land in the Morgan
Rector League on the northwest,
,side of Krenek Lane.
The council also will consider
an ordinance ordering im-
provements of certain portions
of Spruce Street from Boyett
to College Main and Suffolk
Street from Pershing Avenue to
Park Place. They will direct the
city engineer to prepare plans
for the improvements.
In other business, the . council
will:
— Consider the revised
master preliminary plat of
University Arms subdivision.
— Hear a representative from
the Brazos County Counseling
Service.
— Discuss petitions for street
name changes and speed limit
revisions on Highway 6 South.
— C o n s i d e r accepting
dedication of certain streets.
Consider the mayor's
request to attend the U. S. 4.
Mayor's Conference.
— Hear a request for the city
manager and a member of tha
council to attend the annual
conference of municipal
financers.
