WHEREAS, many citizens from the City of College
Station are active members of four
army Reperve units, which train at the
u.s, army 'Reserve Center in Bryan;
and
WHEREAS, many other citizens of our city have
served in the U.S. Army Reserve; and
whereas, the citizen soldiers of the Army Re-
�erve, both locally and nationally, have
served their country with distinction;
and
WHEREAS, the Army Reserve has responded to the
call to arms five times during its 62-
year history; and
WHEREAS, these citizen - soldiers of tha Army Re-
serve have chosen to mark their 62nd
anniversary selflessly by participating
in programs aimed to make our com-
munity a better place in which to live;
NOW, THEREFORE, I D.A. Anderson, Mayor, City
of College Station, Texas do hereby proclaim the
month of April as U.S. Army Reserve COMMUNITY
MONTH in College Station and urge all citizens of
this city to pay tribute to their neighbors, who are
members of the Armv, Reserve.
