PARK DEDICATED - -City and Lions Club officials
dedicated the Lions Club City Park on University
Drive near the city pump station Friday afternoon.
Owned by the city, improvements to the park by the
Lions Club included a f "ncrete slab.

The area is thus a safer place for children to play
and the slab enable youth to conduct game activities.
Officials present included Ivan Schmedemann, president;
Tom Preston; D. A. (Andy) Anderson, mayor; Mel
Lasell; Bill Scott; Bob White and Cecil Ryan
The dedication and ribbon cutting of Preston, president of the Community
the Lions Club City Park in College Improvement Club, and College

4:30 p.m. today according to
Mayor D.A. "Andy" Anderson.
Ivan Schmedemann, College

Station Lions Club president,
will serve as master of
ceremonies for the official
dedication, the mayor said. He
will be assisted by Mel Lasell
and Dr. Robert White, co-
chairman of the committee
involved in inprovements to the
park.
Owned by the city, im-
provements to the park by the
Lions Club included a fence and
a concrete slab to make the area
a safer place for children to
play, Anderson said. Also, the
slab enables youth in the area to
conduct game activites.
