Lions' Parr Dedication a Set Today s The Lions Club City Park, d situated along University Drive e near the College Station pump n station, was to be dedicated at D 4:30 p.m. today according to Mayor D.A. "Andy" Anderson. Ivan Schmedemann, College d Station Lions Club president, will serve as master of ceremonies for the official dedication, the mayor said. He will be assisted by Mel Lasell and Dr. Robert White, co- chairman of the committee involved in inprovements to the park. Owned by the city, im- provements to the park by the Lions Club included a fence and a concrete slab to make the area a safer place for children to play, Anderson said. Also, the slab enables youth in the area to conduct game activites. In his remarks, the mayor said ; the city was indebted to the I College Station Lions Club for their interest in the youth of the c community.
