Society of American Foresters has named College Station Mayor D. A. (Andy) Anderson Texas' outstanding forester. The award is being presented to Anderson during the 4th annual meeting of the section in Biloxi, Miss., today and Friday. The section includes more than 1,000 - foresters from Mississippi, Louisiana and 'Texas. Each state annually selects a member for the award award. Active in SAF since the 1930's, nderson is considered a . Texas forester, a founder of the Texas chapter, and has served as vice chair- man and secretary - treasurer of the Gulf States section.
