Posting Signs'
Two more signs soon will be
posted on houses not meeting
the College Station housing code
standards, Ran Boswell, city
manager says.
City officials have already
posted one sign on a vacant
house on Carolina Street,
Boswell said.
The owner of the house has
not been notified yet, he said.
If the owner doesn't, destroy the
house, the city may have to,
Boswell explained.
As a result of the housing
code, a partially burned -out
house has been torn down on
C- oner Street by its owner, the
c y manager said.

Boswell said city officials
have not yet completed a
survey of unoccupied houses in
the city to see if they meet
standards.
The code and its enforcement
are required for Workable
Program . certification which
College Station is seeking.
Boswell said that there were
"Probably overall only 12
houses in the city not on
sewer." Many of them are in
the newly - annexed areas, he
said.
