MEMORANDUM TO: Mr. Monk Vance
Mrs. Jane Mills Smith
Mr. D. A. Anderson
Dr. Lela Edwards
By now, I'm sure that each of you is aware of a citizen movement to
clean up and beautify Brazos County. Already a steering committee headed
up by Dr. Jack C. Miller of the Tabor Community has met several times to
plan the April cleanup campaign and an on -going beautification program.
I would appreciate it very much if you would serve with me on the
Promotion and Publicity Committee for this effort. We need to be aware
of ways we can promote this program and provide publicity to our local
media. So far, we have had excellent cooperation from the media outlets.
Dr. Miller has called a meeting of Brazps County citizens for May 8
at the Brazos Center. The meeting begins at 7:30 p. m. The purpose is
to review results of the cleanup campaign, discuss future projects in
beautification and form additional committees for this on -going program.
I hope that you will accept this committee assignment and that you can be
present at the meeting.
Please let me know if you will be willing to serve on this committee.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Curtis R. Holland
