George Bush brings his
campaign for the U. S. Se-
nate to Brazos County
Tuesday when he will
speak at a luncheon at noon
at Fontana's, across from
Texas A &M.
"Tickets for the lun-
cheon are $2 and are on sale
at the George Bush -Paul
Eggers Campaign Head-
quarters," announced Sam
Shapr, Brazos County
chairman for Bush.
"We only have 175 tic-
kets," Sharp continued,
"but this is the largest
place we couldfind after we
got confirmation of Bush's
visit."
The campaign headquar-
ters are located next to
Ridgecrest Shopping Cen-
ter.
Bush is presently ser-
ving in the U. S. Congress,
representing the Seventh
Congressional District in
Houston. He ' was one of a
very few freshman con-
gressmen to ever be ap-
pointed to the powerful
House Ways and Means
Committee.
Bush was re- elected in
1968 without opposition -the
first Texas Republican to
do so.
He will arrive at Easter -
wood Airport shortly be-
fore noon. After the lun-
cheon and a brief speech,
he will meet with members
of the local press.
