What was it like "back then ?" Park Activity Time Central Park Kid Fish...toss a line into the lake and pull out a fish! The children of our early settlers helped feed their families by fishing! Brison Park Storytelling by Linda Winder Local children loved to play "Billy Goats Gruff' under the bridge in College Station's first park! Lick Creek Park Enjoy a hike through this 500 acre nature preserve on one of its many trails. See what College Station looked like during the time of our early homesteaders! Wolf Pen Walk Storytelling by Nancy Self Listen to her "wolf stories!" and find out why the creek is named Wolf Pen Creek! Ahhwwwww! Veterans' Park Visit this beautiful memorial to honor local heroes who served our country and preserved freedom for us! Salute the flag in their honor! Carter Park Richard Carter, College Station's first settler, invited Harvey Mitchell to visit during Christmas of 1841 to hunt for bear right where you are stand! Hear the tale in Mitchell's own words as told by Kendra Perkins! Play among the trees and gullies where the Carter children once roamed!
