Parsons was taken to the College Hospital and later re- leased after treatment for mi- nor cuts. He was driving a 1964 In- ternational pick -up truck be- , longing to Texas A &M Uni- versity when the accident oc- curred. Parsons was driving south on Highway 6 around 55 miles per hour when the right front tire of the vehicle apparently blew out. The truck veered to the right, hit a telephone pole and a chain link fence before stopping. A passing motorist picked the boy up and took him to the hospital for treatment,.
