I remember some of the mothers getting together in our kitchen to make the cotton batting wigs. My own costume consisted of my Easter dress with the front and sides drawn up, tied with
ribbons and worn over a long skirt. My partner was Howard Nedermann. Meg Huebner danced with Larry Holt. They portrayed Mr. and Mrs. George Washington. We slowly danced around the stage
to Mrs. Worley’s guidance, “Point, point, step....point, point, step....point, point, step, bow.” Cutting out silhouettes of Washington and Lincoln were also traditional February celebrations.
My personal favorite was decorating a shoebox to hold all those corny Valentines. Can you smell the aroma of conversation hearts wafting through the halls? I can! 1957 Minuet, second
