Call to Order. 2. Initial Hear Visitors — Swearing in of new HPC members Earl Apgar and James McGinnis 3. Visitors after stating name and address for the record may address the Historic Preservation Committee for three (3) minutes. Topics for deliberation shall be discussed under the appropriate agenda item, placed on the agenda of a subsequent meeting, or assigned to staff for research. However, a statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be issued. 4. Possible action and discussion on absence requests. 5. Possible action and discussion to approve meeting minutes of regular meeting of September 15, 2008. 6. Committee Reports. Discussion, and possible action on: • Exploring History Lunch Lectures for 2008 (Ernie and Hillary) • Historic Markers Program (Meredith and Hillary) • Oral History Project (Lou and Anne Steen) • Project HOLD (Lou, Colleen and Anne Steen) • Education Committee (Ernie and Lou) 7. Possible action and discussion on the 70th birthday of the City of College Station. 8. Possible action and discussion on the Landmark Commission. 9. Calendar Events - November 10, 2008 Worth Remembering, Friends Congregational Church, 6 p.m. November 11, 2008 Veterans Day Ceremony & BBQ Ceremony: Brazos Valley Veterans Memorial Park, 6 p.m. BBQ: American Pavilion, 7:30 p.m. December 5, 2008 HPC Retreat (re- scheduled), 10 a.m. — 2 p.m. Home of Hillary Jessup 115 Lee Avenue 10. Possible action and discussion on future agenda items - A Historic Preservation Member may inquire about a subject for which notice has not been given. A statement of specific factual information or the recitation of existing policy may be given. Any deliberation shall be limited to a proposal to place the subject on an agenda for a subsequent meeting. 11. Adjourn.
