Ms. Eleanor Williams brought
Project HOLD a 1922 picture of her
mother, Viola Ford (Toliver), age 18,
and Miss Jackson.
In 1945, Viola Toliver, a true
entrepreneur, purchased a 1/4 acre of
land in Spring Green Community (now
1619 Park Place) from Angie Gavin.
She then built, owned, and operated
Toliver 's Home Laundry.
The Historic Preservation Committee

on the following Scan Dates and volun-
teers will scan your material into the His-
toric Online Library Database.

Help us prepare for
College Station's 65th Birthday!
In preparation for this falls festivities the
Historic Preservation Committee needs your
help in documenting the changes we have
seen over the years. Let us scan your memo-
ries into our Historic Online Library Data-
base. We are looking for photos, correspon-
dence, articles, and the like that portray ele-
ments of the past.
