Jesse Heine, 88, of Bryan, Texas went to be with his Lord
and Savior Monday, November 15, 2010, at the home of his
daughter in Burleson County. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.,
followed by a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November
17, 2010 at Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Caldwell.
Funeral services are set for 10 a.m., "Thursday, November 18,
2010 also the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Birch
Cemetery under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral
Home of Caldwell. Officiating will be with Rev. Rudy Junek,
assisted by Pastor Kevin Boaz. .
Jesse was born October 8, 1922 to William B. and Lillie
(Schoppe) Heine in Birch, Texas. He grew up helping out
on the family farm, attending Birch School, and graduated
from Caldwell High School. He attended Sam Houston State .
Teachers College in Huntsville for two years and received a
teaching certificate. Before being drafted into the war in 1943,
he taught school at Prairiedale School outside of Caldwell.
As a United States Army serviceman, he fought for our
country in World War II in Germany and France until he was
• discharged in April of 1946 with the war's end. He returned
to the Brazos Valley where he had a career of 33 years with
Montgomery Ward of Bryan. His work did not stop there,
even after retirement. He maintained and enjoyed ranching at
his home in Robertson County. He was a member of the Zion
,. Church of Kurten. .
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters;

Schultz.
Jesse is survived by his daughter and son -in -law, Susan and .
Jimmy Junek of Snook; grandson and granddaughter -in -law,
Jess and Cheryl Junek of Bryan; brother, J.W. Heine of Bird; .
two sisters and one brother -in -law, Imogene Havemenn of
Birch, and Erma and Richard Gaas of Calvert; one brother -
in -law and wife, Johnny and Rita Kovar of Caldwell; his tl
special friend Margie Price of Bryan and numerous nieces and I I
nephews.
The family would like to thank Christus Dubuis Hospital of
Bryan and the St. Joseph Rehabilitation Center staff for their I ,
dedication and support for the care of our beloved "Daddy" and
"Peepaw
